Camp Kingfisher at the Chattahoochee Nature Center


This year make it a summer of fun with nature! Located at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell, GA, Camp Kingfisher is a summer day camp combining hands-on nature exploration all-around camp fun.

Dates: June 1 – July 31, 2009
Ages:  Entering Kindergarten – 9 th Grade
Times: Full Day 9:00 – 4:00
Half Day 9:00 – 1:00
Extended care available at no cost
Activities:

•    Games
•    Canoeing
•    Swimming
•    Guest Performers
•    Elective Classes
•    Native American Life
•    Live Animal Presentations
•    Plant and insect ID

K – 5 Program: One- and two-week sessions focusing on nature themes, all camp activities included

6 th & 7 th Grade Program: Two-week sessions including paddling the Chattahoochee River and an overnight at camp

8 th & 9 th Grade Program: Two-week adventure travel sessions discovering the natural wonders around Georgia

Leadership Training program, entering grades 10 – 12 , provides an opportunity for participants to develop leadership skills, become a naturalist, and accrue volunteer hours
