Make A Splash At Gwinnett County Aquatic Centers

Summer is here and all Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation Aquatic Centers will be open beginning May 28. Stay cool this summer at one of the many Leisure Play Pools, which offer lots of fun features such as beach entry, water play structures, giant water slides, picnic areas and more! GCPR offers a wide-array of amenities for both fun and learning, including private, semi-private, and group swim lessons.

The state-of-the-art, award-winning aquatic centers also provide the perfect place to host birthday parties, team parties, family reunions, graduation parties, and much more! Additionally, Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation has numerous pavilions, community rooms, activity buildings, and special event facilities that can make the ideal location for any special event.

Stay cool, have fun and save on pool admission by purchasing a year-round, seasonal or 10-visit FUNCARD. FUNCARDS are valid at all Gwinnett County Pools. All paying patrons (18-up), will be required to furnish proof of residency in order to avoid paying the non-resident rates. Gwinnett County residents have the option to purchase a Resident Passport as a convenient way to show proof of residency. FUNCARDS and Resident Passports can be purchased at all aquatic facilities and various gyms and community centers.

A fun twist to this year’s egg hunt – make it underwater! Kids enjoy an underwater egg hunt until noon, a visit from the Easter Bunny at 1:00pm plus spring crafts, swimming and other fun activities! GET READY FOR SWIMSUIT SEASON: Water Aerobics at West Gwinnet Park Aquatic Center


Change up your exercise routine with water aerobics classes at West Gwinnett Park Aquatic Center. These programs are a fun, high-energy way to get a low-impact workout. The programs use music, foam noodles and dumbbells to spice up workouts. Deep water classes use flotation belts to keep the chest and head above the water, so they are perfect for those with joint problems.

Drop-in classes are for people age 15 and up at all skill levels and require no pre-registration. The shallow water classes are better suited for beginners and deep water classes are geared for those more advanced in water aerobics. No swimming skills are necessary. Fees shown below are for Gwinnett County residents, the fee is double for non-Gwinnett residents.

State-of-the-art aquatic centers and leisure pools make Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation (GCPR) a world-class leader in parks and recreation. Aquatic programs offered by GCPR continue to grow at a fast pace, and currently GCPR operates two indoor and seven outdoor leisure pools, four indoor competition pools, three indoor instructional pools, and one outdoor pool. In addition to pool amenities, GCPR offers private, semi-private and group swim lessons annually to all ages.

GCPR also excels in training by offering lifeguard training/lifeguard instructor/water safety instructor classes annually. GCPR lifeguards to won the Georgia Recreation and Park Association’s State Lifeguard Competition Team Championships consecutively in 2006, 2007 and 2008, and placed second in the 2009 competition!
