Celebrate World Storytelling Day at Bogan Park

World Storytelling Day is held twice a year around the globe to celebrate the exciting art of storytelling. Storytellers from Gwinnett County Public Library and the Southern Order of Storytellers will be performing and sharing their skills as living books.

“Neighbors” is the theme of this year’s event held on Sat., March 14. Storytelling information and resources will be shared, along with souvenirs for children.

The purpose of World Storytelling Day is to share the art of storytelling in an increasing number of countries and languages, create global links and increase awareness of storytelling as an art form.

World Storytelling Day will be held Sat., Mar. 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bogan Park Community Recreation Center, 2723 North Bogan Rd. in Buford.. The cost for one adult and one child is $5, for each additional child the cost is $2. Pre-registration is required by March 11. Register online at www.gwinnettparks.com or call (770) 614-2060.
