What a great idea! As you know we are not affiliated with the county park system. But, here is some information you can use:
Aquatic Center and Pool Rental Info: 770.417.2281
They will do private parties, M-Friday from 4-6pm and after hours on Friday, Sat and Sun from 6:30-8:30pm
Maximum of 25 kids. Call the above number and they’ll help you along. I know that you’ll have to go in-person to rent the facility. They do not do rentals over the phone. Good luck, have a great party!

Are there no outdoor pools in Gwinnett open during spring break?

Unfortunately no. Summer season for the outdoor pools start May 29th. But, Bogan and Bethesda Parks have great indoor leisure play pools with lazy rivers, water slides, etc.

Is there a website or a location listing information such as swim lessons, cost, and schedules?

I don’t believe that you will find that online. I’ll see what I can do to get it together and post it here. In the mean time it would make sense to call the aquatic center or park pool near you (http://gwinnettparklife.com/parks/aquatic-park/gwinnett-aquatic-parks-and-pools-are-open-for-the-summer/) they typical have sheets printed out at the counter.

I would like to have my daughter’s birthday party there but do not want a private party. Is there a problem with bringing a group to swim for the party during regular swim hours and is there a place we can go for refreshments and cake, i.e. picnic tables, grassy spots, etc.?

Is there a group rate during regular swim hours and what time does the pool close on Friday?

Your best bet would be to call the center at 770.417.2281. The outdoor pool area does have tables, etc. that you can use. The rules do state that groups of children 7-10 years of age must be accompanied by at least 1 paying adult per 10 children. Under 6 must be 1 paying adult per three children. The rules also say that NO BIRTHDAY parties are allowed during regular operational hours. What we’ve done in the past is to take the kids to the pool and then end up back at the house for cake.

It is such a shame that the prices have been DOUBLED for nongwinnett residents. I understand a price increase but to dbl the cost for others is OUTRAGOUS. What was the logic in dbl the price versus a dollar or two price increase? What a shame!!!!
