Gwinnett Aquatic Parks Dress Code

Gwinnett County emphasizes modesty to protect the eyes of all from surprise exposure. Some items that you cannot wear to or in the pool include the following.

  • Thong bikinis
  • Lingerie
  • Underwear
  • Boxer shorts

The parks also prohibit disposable diapers and athletic shorts as they can slip off of swimmers without warning, creating an unsanitary or embarrassing situation for all.

The final prohibition is against cut-off shorts. Loose threads clog the water filters and cause more maintenance work than they’re worth.

What you can wear to a Gwinnett water park are any type of finished shorts or shirts, one-piece swimsuits, bikinis, and water clothing. Cotton turtlenecks, t-shirts, and other modesty wear leggings or body coverings are perfectly acceptable.

For those persons who are young, older, or conditionally impaired who need to wear a cloth diaper, the parks also ask that you wear swim diapers with vinyl covers under your swimsuit.
