Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation’s George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center is sponsoring an exhibit of paintings and photography featuring the Buford Artists’ Group titled “What I’ve Seen.”.

The 13 artists that comprise the Buford Artists’ Group gather regularly to hone their artistic skills and challenge each another to further express themselves in creative and unique ways. Several members of the group were mentored by Joseph Perrin, Professor Emeritus at Georgia State University, and started painting with him in the early 1980’s. The artists have shown their work throughout the greater Atlanta area and participated in solo, juried and traveling shows, along with national, regional and international competitions and events.

The exhibit will be on display Dec. 1 through Feb. 18, 2010. Exhibit hours are Mon. through Thurs. 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fri. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sat. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  An opening reception will be held Thurs., Dec. 3, 6 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
